Details

The O.b1-FL Fine Liner Pen utilizes the Schmidt 6040 refill with a sprung loaded pressure protection tip system. The 6040 is available in Fine (0.8mm) & Medium (1.0mm) line widths and 10 writing color options, black, blue, red, green, magenta, turquoise, violet, light-green, pink and orange.

Materials

The O.b1 range of instruments bodies are precision swiss CNC machined from 7075-T6 aerospace grade aluminum alloy and hard coat anodized type 3, class 2, deep black or clear to MIL-A-8625 standards for enhanced corrosion and wear resistance.

Other component parts are swiss CNC machined from 17-4 PH (Precipitation Hardened H900 condition) stainless steel.

Surface Finishing

Stainless steel parts are left in a polished clear condition or then QPQ (Quench Polish Quench) Nitrided to enhance corrosion and wear resistance even further. This is a surface carburization method that imparts a smooth black color to the metal and is conducted under ???????? standards.
